The Woman's Personal Health Resource

Clothing and Accessories For Women With Special Needs

It is bathing suit time....fun in the sun, pool, beach, hot tubs, lakes, etc. What to wear? All of the bathing suits on the website have pockets on both sides to accommodate a breast form or enhancer. Some of the suits have a molded cup, which helps with support.

The dilemma that is faced by all women after breast surgery is "what do I wear in the swimsuit?" There are several solutions. Many of the manufacturers have developed Swim Forms. These are silicone shells, compatible with salt water, chlorine and hot tubs. They are much lighter than regular prosthesis, and fit perfect in your swimsuit. I actually, enourage my customers to also try them in their bras for every day use. It is a nice "light" change from the heavier forms.

Another form that is useful for swimming and for the lighter camisoles that are available is the Breast Illusion

This form is filled with an emulsified cream with a fabric cover. It is very light and very comfortable. The only drawback to using this as a swim form is that it will take longer to dry than the silicone ones.

The innovative Bathing Suit Bra is an amazing product for the woman who needs extra support, has difficulty finding the right prosthesis for her swimsuit, is a double mastectomy, or just wants to use it as a sports bra. The Bathing Suit Bra has pockets on both sides, and is constructed with the same material as bathing suits. It can be worn under your swimsuit - if a little peeks out, it just looks like a sports bra - it is a fabulous item.

Don't want to get your hair wet? Or, if you have some hair loss, our Swim Turbanru is a great product.
