I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a survivor. Was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, had a modified radical mastectomy in October of that year, began chemo in December and finished with radiation in May of 2003. I have been blessed throughout this journey, as I was in a clinical trial and received Herceptin for a year, only missed work when I had a treatment and had a magnificent support system.
Still searching for that "perfect" bra, as I chose not to have reconstruction. Too many trips to the doctor for me!

I just made $882 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
Thanks Carla and everyone else for the advice to sew pockets, and for the tip about the bra.
After getting back from vacation, I just wanted to burn my mastectomy suit! It's a Land's End but the natural breast side has so much extra material it just looks so lumpy!
I have a regular suit that I love...I'm going to try sewing a pocket in that one. One question though...it just has a 'half lining' and not a cup, will that work? Can I sew a pocket to this lining, or will it just droop?
Wow...so nice to see your face. Thank you for joining, and being part of this network. Your comments and information will help many women.
