I'm a BC survivor. I had a left breast mastectomy w/no recon eight years ago and I'm always looking for better forms, bras, bathing suits, etc.
I'm 5ft. nothing and 95lbs. size 32AA :) and have all the problems that go along with middle age and menopause! I'm looking forward to getting great advice from everyones experience.

I just made $838 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
I agree about all the extra fabric in the Lands End swim suits. If you are referring to "half lining" as a shelf bra, yes, you can sew a pocket in without the form drooping. I usually use underwear that is stretchy (Vasserette from Walmart) and cut it to accomodate your form, of course leaving ample room to stitch it to the shelf bra.
I do all of mine by hand because I don't know how to use a sewing machine!! Another one of my goals.
I have found using the existing leg or waist edges for the form opening is helpful. Good luck and please let me know if I can be of any assistance. always, peace. Carla
Hi Pam,
I am also a petite person and have had difficulty with bras. The Anita 5382 comes the closest to being what I am looking for. It is comfortable and pretty. I have been wearing it for almost two years now. Lands End bathing suits (I have two) need some tweaking in their pocket design but are stylish and comfortable.
I have sewn numerous pockets onto camisoles, etc. Have yet to do two the exact same way, must be my lack of sewing experience!! However, they do work, just some better than others. Be in touch always, peace. Carla
If you want to sew pockets into your swimsuits I would suggest using the same type of material that the suit is made of. A fabric store will have material you can purchase for low $$ and then a seamstress or yourself can sew the pocket in. The pocket material that is used for bras, might not work well as they are mostly made of cotton.

HI PAM-I HAD A DOUBLE MASTECTOMY IN MARCH WITH RECONSTRUCTION BUT THE LEFT ONE FAILED SO I AM LEFT WITH A PROSTHESIS ON THE LEFT. I AM 85 LBS AND 5' BUT WEAR A SIZE 32D WHICH IS HARD TO FIND. NORDSTROMS WILL SEW A POCKET INTO ANY BRA FOR FREE.
I'm so glad you joined! It sounds like you are very petite and need small sizes. Perhaps you could start a discussion of what clothing you have found that works well for you. It would definitely help others with you body shape. I have many women who ask for swimsuits in a size 4...and none of the vendors that I use design suits for women in that size range.
